Status of WOMAN before Islam (I)

We shall try to discuss in a brief and in an authenticated manner the status of women in Islam, a subject of which is the least objectively presented to the world today.


Let us first peep through the windowpane of civilizations, and see how women were treated and what rights they had, so that we may have a better perspective of how Islam dealt with this problem.

IN UUR (Iraaq)

In his first volume of the Meaning of the Holy Quraan Sheikh Sayyid Abdul A`alaa L-Mawduudy tells us that during the time of Nabii Ibraahiim (Abraham)(AS) people in Uur in Iraaq used to worship idols. One of these idols was called Nanar, which was put in one of their sacred cathedrals. This castle (cathedral) was built, on a high hill. Beside it there was another cathedral for his wife Nanijil. The Nanar cathedral was like a king's palace. Every night a woman used to come to this cathedral, who becomes his wife. In this way a lot of women who volunteered themselves for the god, lived in it.
Their condition in the palace was no better than that of a harlot. This was by name of a religion. Any woman who sacrificed her virginity, her womanhood, and her youth for the god is regarded as one of the highly respected ladies. They had a very strong belief that a woman must sacrifice herself and her womanhood; at least once in her lifetime; so as to get salvation. This is crystal clear that the ones who are benefited by this religious prostitute are the bishops and the clergy themselves. (With minor adaptation).
Turning to the Encyclopedia Britannica, we come across the following: -

IN INDIA

In India subjection was a cardinal principle, Day and night women must be kept by their protectors in a state of dependence, says Manu. The rule of inheritance was agnatic, that descent traced through males only to the exclusion of females. She was regarded as the source of sin and moral and spiritual depravity.
An Indian wife used to call her husband: “My Lord" or even "My God", as he was regarded as her earthly god. She never ate with him. She had to follow a few yards behind him when both of these walked together. She was to worship her husband. She had to serve her father, be a chattel of the husband and submit to her children.
An Indian woman became a plaything for animal passion. Indians looked upon sex relations between man and woman as loathsome and evil whether they contract legally or illegally.
In India they used to regard a good wife as a woman whose mind, speech and body are kept in Subjection, and so acquires high renown both in this world, and in the next, the same abode with her husband. So much so about India.

THE ARTICLE BY ALI IQTIDAR

One Hindu research professor, in his stunning book, claims that the description of Avatar found in the Holy book of Hindu religion is in fact that of the Prophet Mohammed (SAW).
A little while ago, in India a fact revealing book was published, which has been the topic of discussions and gossip all over the country.
Amazingly the author of this is a fair-minded famous professor, who happened to be a Hindu. His name is Pundit Vedaprakash Upandial and the name of his book is KALKI AVATAR. The author is a Hindu Brahmin by caste of Bengali origin. He is a research scholar, seeker of Truth and well-known Pundit in Allahabad University.
After years of research work, Pundit Vedaprakash published this book and other eight Pundits have endorsed and certified his point of arguments as authentic.

SUPPORTED

According to Hindu belief and their Holy book, the description of the Guide and the leader, named Kalki Avatar, fit only to the Prophet Mohammad (SAW) of Arabia, so the Hindus of the whole world should not wait any longer for the arrival of Kalki Avatar (the spirit) and should rapidly accept Prophet Mohammad (SAW), as Kalki Avatar. The facts verified and supported by eight eminent pundists.
What the author and eight eminent pundits say is this that the Hindus who are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Kalki Avatar are simply subjecting themselves to never ending pain (of waiting). Because such a great messenger has come and departed from this world fourteen centuries ago.
Pundit Vedaprakash produces following sound evidences from the Vedas and other Holy books of Hindu religion in support of his claim.

(1) In Parana (a Holy book of Hindus) it is stated that Kalki Avatar would be the last messenger (prophet) of God in this world for the Guidance of the whole world and all human beings.
(2) According to Hindu religious prediction, the birth of Kalki Avatar would take place in an Isle, which again according to Hindu religion is in the Arab Region.
(3) In the book of Hindus the names of the father and the mother of Kalki are given as: Vishnubhagat; Vishnu (meaning God) Bhagat (meaning slave). (Hence God`s slave is Abdallah the father of Prophet Mohammad SAW).
(4) In the religion of Hindus it is mentioned that the staple food of Kalki Avatar would be dates and olive and he would be the most honest and truthful person in the region. With no doubt the Prophet Mohammed (SAW), is acquainted to possess these qualities.
(5) It is stated in Vedas (Holy book of Hindus religion) that the birth of Kalki Avatar would take place in an honourable clan. This perfectly fits to the clan of Quraysh, which the Prophet Mohammad (SAW) belongs to.
(6) God would teach Kalki Avatar through his Messenger (Angel) in a cave. Allah taught the Prophet Mohammad (SAW) through the messenger Gabriel in a cave know as Ghaar e-Hiraa.
(7) God would avail Kalki Avatar with a very speedy horse to ride and travel the whole world and the seven skies. Indication of Buraaque and Israa Meraaj.
(8) God will also avail Kalki Avatar with divine help. This was particularly proved in the battle of U`hud.
(9) Another dazzling account given about Kalki Avatar was that he would be born in the 12th of a month . whereas the Prophet Mohammad (SAW) was born on 12th of the month of Rabiul Awwal.
(10) Kalki Avatar would be an excellent horse rider and a swordsman. The author here draws attention of Hindus that the real days of horse and swords have gone and present time is that of guns and missiles. So it would be foolish on the part of those who still expect Kalki Avatar, who should be excellent rider and swordsman, to come.

In fact the Divine Book, Holy QURAAN, contains qualities and signs attributed to Kalki Avatar reflecting on the Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
The author has given numerous other arguments in favour of his claim that Kalki Avatar is in fact Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and those who still await the arrival of Kalki Avatar should think again.
The above article was written by Iqtidar, produced here deliberately to remind myself first and foremost, and then the world at large; especially; the enemies of humanity (enemies of humanity would be ANYONE, you can be one I can be one or anyone else; who does things in contradiction with the interest of humanity) and the Neo Jahiliya. It is high time for Muslims to learn Urdu and Hindi, plus the know how one or two Indian religions (either Buddhism or Brahamanism) and to go to India to propagate Islam there hand in hand with their fellow Muslims in India before it is too late; and then blame themselves if they do not do so NOW.
